I forged the handle for this ladle out of an old rail road spike. I did some decorative twists at the top. I hot forged the bowl for the ladle, sinking it some in a swage and raising it on a stake anvil I made from a trailer hitch. I riveted both items together and then blackened everything with heat, beeswax and mineral oil.
