I forged this brooch/cloak pin from 1/2” round stock. Once all the shapes were hammered out I textured the length of it like a vine and used a small cross pein to further texture the leaves. Lastly I forged the pin. I flared the part of it that wraps around the brooch to give the whole piece even more dimension. The whole thing is blackened with heat, mineral oil, and beeswax.
