My friend gave me some brass bones to forge. She had a few that only partially cast in the pour. It was my first time forging bronze! I was really surprised by how narrow the heat window for forging it is. Too hot, and it will crack and crumble. Too cold, and hammering it will crack crumble it. I was trying to forge a little bone keychain. I was so focused on hitting that temperature window and forging this small, delicate scroll work that I didn’t notice what I accidentally forged… which is balls. So, if you ever wanted to yell “I’ll have your balls on my keychain!” Or “I’ve got brass balls!”, you should snag these guys.
